Do you dream of a real holiday home, where time moves a little slower and the sea air and dune landscape set the mood? Then this beautiful holiday home from 1967 is just the place for you.

The holiday home is called “PORSE” – named after the aromatic herb traditionally used for schnapps.

Here you won’t find unnecessary luxury, but plenty of charm, peace and nature right at your doorstep. A holiday home for everyone who wants a true holiday in a true summer house. The house accommodates four guests and features two cosy double bedrooms. Perfect for couples, a small family or two pairs of friends wishing to experience Skagen’s unique light and natural surroundings. Inside you’ll be welcomed by wood-clad walls, a snug sofa corner and dining area in the living room, a wood-burning stove for cool evenings and a lovely kitchen where you can prepare everything from fresh fish to hot cocoa in the autumn months. The bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, toilet and shower. In the guest toilet you’ll also find the house’s washing machine.

Outside, the style is “wild with intention”: heather, marram grass and tall grasses give the holiday home a natural setting and a very special sense of tranquillity. The terrace with garden furniture, two deck chairs and a table grill invites you to enjoy warm summer evenings while the scent of sea and dunes fills the air. Your laundry will dry in the sea breeze, taking on that distinctive fresh scent. Outside you’ll also find a shower so you can rinse off salt and sand after a dip in the waves.

Start your holiday morning with a refreshing swim in the sea followed by a cup of coffee on the terrace. Take a bike tour around Skagen (there are plenty of bike rental shops in town if you haven’t brought your own). Enjoy lunch at Skagen Marina where you’ll find many small eateries in the old Bindesbøl fish warehouses as well as Skagen Fiskerestaurant and Restaurant Pakhuset. Spend the afternoon with a book in the deck chair at home or take a walk along the beach. Savour the blue hour with a drink on the terrace at home or perhaps on the terrace of Ruths Hotel. End the day with a trip to “Solnedgangspladsen,” (Sunset spot) where together with many other guests and locals you can enjoy the breathtaking spectacle and the most beautiful sunsets over the North Sea.
