Whether bakery, supermarket, restaurant, savings bank or cafe - all important things can be reached in a few minutes on foot. You can get to Wernigerode and Braunlage in a few minutes by car. At the entrance to Schierke is the Brockencoaster (bobsleigh run) - fun for the whole family. Cross-country skiing, downhill skiing (on the neighboring Wurmberg) or horse-drawn sleigh rides in winter, horse-drawn carriage rides, horse riding, mountain biking, Nordic walking, climbing or hiking in summer - Schierke offers you a variety of leisure activities.
