Holiday home in Söpplanda

Charming house situated in the borderlands between Värmland, Dalsland, and Norway. Renovated inside in 2018.

Wide view over pastures and fields to lake Västra Silen, surrounded by forest. Open veranda welcomes you to the hallway leading to the kitchen on your right, living room straight ahead and to your left the stairs to the second floor. The house gives a light and warm impression.

Pleasant kitchen with a dining area. A connecting room leads to the living room with TV-corner and a modern sofa bed for two. Bathroom with shower. The second floor has a bedroom and a connecting room with a bed for one.

Around 1 km to the beach at lake Västra Silen. The owner offers the possibility to rent a rowing boat for bathing or fishing (fishing license necessary). For those wanting to avoid rowing an electric motor is available, allowing you to experience the nature in Värmland in a peaceful way, the smell of the firs and hear the euphoric birdsong rising from the trees.

Västra Silen offers good options to catch a fish or two for the frying pan, the perch is common. Close by are scenic hikes and in the late summer you can gather wild berries and mushrooms. Elk and deer roam the woods, with luck you might even catch a glimpse of the famous white elk. Each summer the first Sunday in July local performers put on the play “Amerikabrevet” (the Letter from America) in nearby village Källtegen.

A nice outing is a visit to the shopping centers in nearby Norway, the border is only 40 km away. Local center Årjäng with shopping, cafés, restaurants, and a racetrack with a museum is 14 km away. Gustavsfors and the Dalsland canal is 14 km away, with many restaurants along the canal open in the summer.
