Holiday home in Öckerö

On the beautiful island of Bohus-Björkö in Gothenburg's Norra Skärgård you will find this modern and very nice cottage, located on the owner's plot with only 100m to the sea.

From the lying bench by the stone you enjoy the sea's own cinema during cozy summer evenings. Parking for one car is available in direct connection to the house.

You are met by a small hall integrated with living room where there is the opportunity to hang clothes. From the living room, a narrower spiral staircase leads you up to the cozy sleeping loft decorated with a double bed and small lovely windows. Open the patio door and enjoy morning coffee and supper on the patio. Inside the living room is the kitchen and toilet with shower. Adjacent to the cottage there are several pleasant walking paths to discover.

Björkö is the highest of the islands and there are therefore finds here from the Stone Age. The good arable land that was formed when the land was later raised from the sea, contributed to the fact that already in the 16th century there were six farms on the island. The island has a rich wildlife. From 1939 until the end of The 20th century was large parts of northern Björkö "Kronan's" land. From the war years there are many stories about the military's activities on the island and later they still had large exercises and the birch islanders did not have access to these parts of their island. But when the operation was closed, many nice areas and old military roads were opened. There is a lot to explore here.

There are several nice bathing places with rocks or sandy beach around the island and in many places you can easily go down by canoe to paddle around the islands around. In the harbor there is a well-known restaurant, popular pizzeria and grocery store that has a bit of most things. In addition to enjoying the island's atmosphere with salty baths and peace and quiet, you can easily get by boat over to Grötö, which is a fantastically cozy island with its own restaurant with a large sunny terrace.
