Holiday home in Rethymno Prefecture

Villa Dafni has been built as luxury holiday homes right above the village of Gerani near Rethymnon. It is located on a slope above the village and enjoy particularly beautiful views of the small bay of Gerani, and the Aegean Sea. The large property is framed by walls of natural stone. Gerani is a small, typically Cretan village with crooked lanes. It stands on a hill above a small bay, some 7 kms west of the town center of Rethymnon on the island of Crete. Two times per day a public bus serves the village. From the motor highway below the village hourly public bus service to Rethymnon and Iraklion (88 kms) as well as to Hania (55 kms). A rented car is however advisable as the villas are located roughly 1 km from the village center, and 2 kms from the motor highway. The small swimming-bay below the village has a pebbled beach, a tiny fishing-port, a small church and a popular taverna. Just 5 kms west, the bridge over Petres river marks beginning of one of Crete's most beautiful sandy dream beaches. It spreads over a distance of 11 kms along the Almirou Bay via Kavros till Georgioupolis and gives home to all kinds of watersports, and a dive center.
