Holiday home in Västervik SO

Situated just south of Västervik in the beautiful archipelago, this holiday house is located in the well-kept cottage area called “Äskestock”. Here you have the wonderful ocean just 130 m away!

The wooden staircase leads up to the large terrace that surrounds three sides of the house with outdoor furniture and sun loungers, perfect for pleasant summer days or nice barbeque evenings.

Downstairs contains two smaller bedrooms with a single bed each. Large lovely living room in open plan with the fully equipped kitchen. The living room is furnished with a comfortable sitting area, TV and big windows all around with partial sea view. Should any day feel a bit chilly, here is also a heating stove. On this floor, you also have the fully tiled, fresh bathroom with a washing machine.

The staircase leads up to the second floor with another living room with sofa and TV. Master bedroom with two single beds. All the bedrooms have plenty of clothes storage. Outside the house is a cozy wood-burning sauna in an annex that is reached via the terrace.

A bit below the house there is a 17 m2 annex with two single beds and a smaller kitchen, perfect if you have teenagers that wants to live a bit by themselves. The plot is hilly, but here are also lawn areas. Down by the water is the rowing boat. Take a relaxing rowing trip among the islands or try your luck in fishing. The fishing is free throughout the Baltic Sea.

Only about 140 m away from the house is the small family beach with a jetty, ladder and sandy beach. The nearest community is Gunnebo, about 17 km away, with grocery store etc. To the city of Västervik it is about 30 km. The city is very picturesque and has many shops, restaurants and events during the summer.

For day trips there are many possibilities, for example a trip to Sweden's second largest island, Öland, or maybe a tour on a tourist boat into the outermost archipelago. Or enjoy just discover and walking in the woods and fields. Plenty of both mushrooms and berries at the right season. Probably a must for the younger ones is a visit to Astrid Lindgren's World in Vimmerby and it is about 50 km away.
