There's a small kitchen, a living room with a cosy fireplace, a bedroom with a double bed, another bedroom with a bunk bed (short, for youths/kids). There's also a small room with a shower and a washbasin. In one of the annexes, you'll find the bathroom. It features an electric incinerating toilet, a washbasin, and a shower. The other annex is equipped with two bunk beds. There's a freezer in the garage.
By the lakeside, there's a plastic rowing boat which you may use. There's a couple of life jackets for children in the garage. No fishing permit required!
The picturesque town of Vadtena is only seven kilometres away. Vadstena was once up for becoming the capital of Sweden, before Stockholm was chosen. King Gustav Vasa built a castle here, in the middle ages, and it still stands today, in excellent shape. There are also several beautiful old churches you can visit, as well as a convent where the Birgitta-sisters live. This is the town that Saint Bridget is from and it offers plenty of culture and historical sites. The town also has one of Sweden's best golf courses.
Between Ödeshög and Vadstena you will find the ruins of the monastery Alvastra Kloster, set in beautiful surroundings right by the mountain Omberg. Omberg is well worth a visit for those who love walking in beech forests. Bird enthusiasts will love lake Tåkern, one of Swedens most well-renowned bird spotting areas.
Welcome to this delightful holiday home!
