Cottage in Chalais

This house offers peace, privacy and comfort. All rooms are nicely decorated and well-kept and your holiday home features two terraces, one of which is covered. The terrace offers a magnificent view and from here you can walk straight into your own garden, where you'll also find your private, heated swimming pool. The hospitable Dutch owners occupy the other half of this large property and have their own entrance and parking places on their own side, ensuring everybody's privacy. They will give you a warm welcome, though, and are more than happy to show you around the house and tell you about its surroundings. The Dordogne region boasts some beautiful nature. Visit the lakes and the castles and enjoy the area. You can walk for hours on end here or hire your own donkey for an off the beaten track tour with the kids. There are plenty of fishing opportunities as well. St. Saud is a wonderful place to swim with its lake and nice sandy beach offering opportunities for the children to play. On Saturday mornings, there's a farmers market with many local products in Thiviers (12km), where you'll find plenty of supermarkets as well. You can also get your daily groceries in La Coquille (6km), Miallet (6km) and St. Jory de Chalais (4km).
