Lying next to the castle in one of the oldest annexes of the Castello di Montozzi estate is this tranquil house that is ideal for families. The erstwhile owner, Marquis Baldelli, had the castle fully restored and returned to its original glory after WW2. The stone mantelpieces, terracotta-tiled floors, tasteful furniture and large fireplaces all add to the authentic atmosphere.
Arezzo's Antiques Market opens every month's first Saturday and Sunday of the month. You can go wine tasting in the vicinity, and every Monday is organized a themed Tuscan dinner in the ancient stable of the castle. Reservations are required and a minimum of 8 people are allowed. You can enjoy hiking and bike outings in the 113 half of the property, which includes olive groves and woods.
Outside, the private garden adjacent to the house is a wonderful place to enjoy a Tuscan meal or enjoy the splendid views across the estate. Pets are welcome, owners should ensure that they do not disturb other guests.
