This spacious holiday home in Nantheuil, Dordogne is a peaceful countryside retreat ideal for up to 12 guests. The ground floor welcomes you with two cozy living/dining rooms—each fitted with flat-screen TVs offering Dutch and international channels—and a fireplace for snug evenings. The fully equipped kitchen includes a 4-ring induction stove, espresso and filter coffee machines, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge-freezer. There’s also a washing room with a tumble dryer and washing machine, plus a separate toilet for convenience.

Upstairs, five well-appointed bedrooms provide flexibility for families or groups, with options for twin or double beds, bunk beds, and synthetic duvets for comfort. Two bathrooms serve this floor—one with a shower and dual washbasins, the other with a bathtub—and an additional toilet. Baby essentials like a cot, high chair, and children’s bed are included. Heating and free Wi-Fi make it a cozy, connected stay year-round.

Outdoors, the private fenced garden stretches beyond 1000 m² and includes a swimming pool (open April–October), boules court, trampoline, slide, table tennis, BBQ, and deckchairs. Just 2 km from Thiviers for supplies, restaurants, and transport, it’s also near rivers, forests, golf, and horse riding—perfect for exploring Dordogne’s natural and cultural treasures with loved ones and pool is not heated.

Attractions: You are in the Perigord Vert Region so named because of the greenery of the forests and meadows. Thiviers is known as the capital of Foie Gras, a delicious speciality of the region and not to be missed. A Regional highlight is the beautiful town of Brantome (27km) and its Benedictine abbey, built by Charlemagne in 769. Here you can hire a canoe (book in advance) and enjoy this lovely stretch of the river. There is a busy outdoor market on Fridays. Near to Brantome is the "most beautiful village" of St-Jean-de Cole and also the attractive village of Bourdeilles. Nearby Chateaux include the Chateau de Jumilhac, the Chateau de Bourdeilles, and Chateau de Puyguilhem. On the outskirts of Perigueux at Trélissac (29km) there are Hypermarkets (eg. LeClerc) and shopping precincts. Then there is Perigueux itself, with its large stores and boutiques and not forgetting the delightful old town with it's beautiful cathedral. A little further, 75km, is the amazing village of Aubeterre sur Dronne which has a church hewn out of rock (excavations began in the fifth century) and is counted amongst the "most beautiful villages" in France.
