A beautiful hiking trail leads via Dobein to the southern shore of the lake. Ludmannsdorf (via Zedras) can also be easily reached on foot.

The town center of Köttmansdorf is within walking distance. There are enough shops for your daily needs, as well as a good selection of restaurants.
