Our modern and comfortable house, Laroqueholidayvilla, is waiting for you to come and enjoy holidays, only 10km from the fabulous sandy beaches of the Mediterranean. The house is located on the edge of a picturesque, typically Catalan, village with restaurants and local shops within walking distance. The house is bright, light, spacious, air-conditioned and supplied with broadband wi-fi, with a large open-plan lounge/dining room/kitchen and three bedrooms.
Outside the garden is private and is fully enclosed by a wall and hedge. You will have your own private heated swimming pool with terraces, sun loungers, garden furniture and a barbeque. The garden has Mediterranean plants and fruit trees. When they ripen you will be able to pick and eat grapes, oranges, plums, figs, apricots, lemons and kumquats.
Inside Laroqueholidayvilla, the well-equipped kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, blender etc and a good selection of pans and cooking implements. The dining area is separated from the kitchen by a granite-topped breakfast bar, with bar-stool seating. The dining area is equipped with a dining table able to seat eight, and with a patio door leading to the terrace and garden overlooking the swimming pool. The lounge area is equipped with comfortable sofas and arm chairs and a TV which can receive French channels and some international channels via the internet. There is a wood-burning stove for use in those cooler months. One double bedroom, with its en-suite shower room is on the ground floor, and there is also another separate WC and a second sitting area and a washing machine.
Upstairs there are two further bedrooms and the family bathroom. One of these bedrooms is a double aspect double bedroom with a patio door onto the balcony with views onto the Alberes hills, the Pyrenees and across the plain of Roussillon. The second of these bedrooms contains two single beds and has views over the pool, the Alberes hills and to the village of Laroque with its pretty mediaeval tower and across the plain with a distant sea view.
The heated pool is 4X7m and has a shallow end with corner steps in. It has an electrically operated security cover which complies with the strict French pool safety regulations. The pool is generally available from Easter until the end of October, although depending on the weather this period could be extended on request.
