THE UNIQUE STORY, AS TOLD BY THE HOMEOWNER
Those who vacation in one of the three apartments of this extraordinary house will discover not only the good air at an altitude of 1350 m, but also the beneficial effect of the mountain pine (Zirbenholz), which is responsible for the typical pleasant alpine scent.
"The 'Zirbenstube' (a room with pine wood on the walls and furniture) has been part of the rural alpine culture in Tyrol since time immemorial. Therefore, it was obvious to offer this living feeling to our guests as well," says the house manager. By using the indigenous stone pine wood in the upholstery of the houses and the furniture, the guests really come to relax.
The relaxing and sleep-promoting effects of the wood are measurable and often proven. This is mainly attributed to its characteristic resinous-spicy scent. It is effective against anxiety, lack of energy, depression and dejection. "The effect of stone pine reduces the heart rate by as much as 3,500 beats per day, which means the heart has to work one hour less. So when you go to rest in a bed made of stone pine, or stay in rooms with stone pine panels on the walls, you are doing something good for yourself and your health," explains the house manager.
Zirbenholz, mountain air and nature: the house Walli stands for recovery in the truest sense of the word. That's why the owner wanted to create an oasis of calm and give people the chance to take a break. "We often get asked why our house does not offer WiFi. This was done with the intention of giving our guests a time out from work and social media," she explains.

- Holiday paradise Fendels and its surroundings offer active vacationers and families, both summer and winter, plenty of activities. From hiking on idyllic trails to mountain biking, rafting and canyoning on the waters of the Inn. Go swimming in the nearby lake and enjoy the fresh mountain air
- In the winter you can sometimes ski right up to the house, and there is a 4 km-long, lighted toboggan run a short distance away
- The ski pass from Fendels can be used for all elevators in Kaunertal, as well as the indoor pool Kaunertal. If the roads are closed due to too much snow, as was the case a few years ago, guests are brought to the house by the gondola
- Two of the apartments with two large bedrooms are particularly suitable for families with 6-8 people, while the third apartment with one bedroom is ideal for couples or families with 2 children
- In the winter of 2021/22, the farmhouse will come back to life when, after a 10-year hiatus, the adjacent hayloft will be put back into use by a neighboring farmer. Thus, guests of the house can experience Tyrolean farm life and visit the calves
