Holiday home in Askersund Ö

This charming little holiday home is located in a quiet area close to the sea, eleven kilometres from the town of Askersund. The cottage comes with an annex and a magnificent view of the sea. Nature here is stunning and there are many lovely places you can make excursions too.

The cottage features a kitchenette and there's also a fridge, freezer, and an extra electric cooker in the little building next door. The comfortable living room features a wood burning stove which is perfect if you want a cosy night in on a cold day. The cottage also has a lovely conservatory with a beautiful view of lake Vättern. The hilly garden features a grill and outdoor furniture.

A rowing boat is included in the rent. There's a dock about 100 metres from the cottage. There's an array of sights and activities in the area. Visit “The Riviera of Nerike” - Hargebaden. It's a beautiful beach that stretches for a kilometre along the coast, with shallow, crystal-clear water and a big water slide. This is a perfect spot for families with young children! Harge Uddar is set by the shore of lake Vättern and offers a breathtaking view, a grill area, and a lovely ,rocky bathing spot. Don't miss the castle Stjernsunds Slott which is only five kilometres away and offers guided tours every day.

Another lovely place you can visit is the picturesque town of Askersund which is 11 kilometres away. Here you will find shops, a mini-zoo, a little chocolate factory, a beach, and a lovely harbour. The boat M/S Wetterwik offers plenty of cruises in Vättern. The town of Olshammar is 15 kilometres from your holiday home. It has a rich history. Here you will find Birgittakyrkan. Saint Bridget and her husband Ulf Gudmarsson spent some time here in the 1300's . You can also visit Olshammarsgården where the writer Verner von Heidenstam was born.

Other places to visit are Medevi Brunn with it's park concerts, theatre, and museums. Don't miss the nature reserve Tivedens Nationalpark, 30 kilometres away. Here you will find lake Fagertärn which is the original home of the red water lily.
